IBPS PO exam pattern overview
Prelims (qualifying): 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes across English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, each with its own time limit. Candidates must clear the sectional and overall cut-offs.
Mains: objective tests on Reasoning and Computer Aptitude; General, Economy and Banking Awareness; English Language; and Data Analysis and Interpretation, plus a descriptive English test (essay and letter writing).
Interview: 100 marks. Final merit combines mains and interview marks in the ratio 80:20. Each wrong answer in the objective tests costs one quarter of the marks for that question.
