SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2026

SSC CGL is a two-tier computer-based exam.

Tier 1 (qualifying): 100 objective questions for 200 marks in 60 minutes, covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension (25 questions each). Each wrong answer costs 0.50 marks.

Tier 2 (merit): Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts and covers Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and a Data Entry Speed Test. Post-specific papers, such as Statistics for Junior Statistical Officer, are held only for those posts.

Final selection is based on Tier 2 marks and post preferences, followed by document verification.
