What a Constable does
Constable is the entry rank in state police forces and central armed police forces (CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB), responsible for law-and-order duty, patrolling and investigation support under senior officers. Eligibility is typically 10th or 12th pass depending on the state or force, with defined height, chest and physical fitness standards that vary by category and gender.
