SBI Clerk, officially Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales), is State Bank of India's recruitment for clerical staff in its branches across India. Junior Associates handle cash, deposits, customer queries and the sale of banking products.
Recruitment is state-wise: candidates apply for vacancies in one state and must know that state's official local language. SBI conducts the exam itself, separately from IBPS, and publishes the notification on its careers website.
Eligibility
Education: a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Final-year students can usually apply if they submit proof of passing by the date given in the notification.
Age: 20 to 28 years. Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD (General), and as per rules for ex-servicemen and widows.
Language: proficiency in the official local language of the state applied for, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding.
