AIIMS Bilaspur has invited applications for 8 Faculty (Group-A) posts - Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor - across six medical specialties, on Direct Recruitment/Deputation basis. Apply via Google Form by 25 August 2026, followed by hard copy by 31 August 2026.
The Executive Director, AIIMS Bilaspur has released Advertisement Notice AIIMS-BLS(B-I)(2)(5)(Vol-VI)/25-1002 dated 10 August 2026, inviting applications from Indian nationals and OCI cardholders for 8 Faculty (Group-A) posts under Direct Recruitment/Deputation basis at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh), an Institute of National Importance under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
The vacancies span Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor grades across Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, Orthopaedics, Physiology, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma & Emergency departments. Posts for Professor and Associate Professor are also open to Deputation; retired faculty may apply on a contractual basis for Professor/Associate Professor roles.

Candidates must hold a medical qualification recognised under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI/NMC. Department and grade-specific postgraduate qualifications and experience required:
- Anaesthesiology (Asst. Professor): MD (Anaesthesia) + 3 years teaching/research experience.
- Biochemistry (Asst. Professor): MD in Biochemistry (medical) or Master's + Doctorate in Biochemistry (non-medical) + 3 years teaching/research experience.
- Orthopaedics (Asst. Professor): MS in Orthopaedics + 3 years teaching/research experience.
- Physiology (Asst. Professor): MD in Physiology (medical) or Master's + Doctorate in Physiology (non-medical) + 3 years teaching/research experience; Professor grade requires 14 years teaching/research experience post-qualification.
- Surgical Oncology (Associate Professor): M.Ch in Surgical Oncology (2/3/5/6-year course) + 3-4 years teaching/research experience depending on course duration.
- Trauma & Emergency (Asst. Professor): MD in Emergency Medicine/Medicine or MS in General Surgery + 3 years teaching/research experience; candidates with casualty/emergency department experience preferred.
DNB holders in broad/super specialties must produce documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch per MCI's 31-10-2018 notification, with additional experience requirements depending on training institution category.
Age cap varies by post: 58 years (Professor, direct recruitment), 56 years (Professor, deputation), 50 years (Associate & Assistant Professor), up to 70 years (retired/contractual). SC/ST: 5 years relaxation; OBC: 3 years; EWS: no relaxation; Central Govt. servants: 5 years; PwBD: as per DoPT OM dated 06-09-2022; Ex-servicemen: as per DoPT OM dated 06-09-2022. No relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.

₹101,500 – ₹220,400 per month
Professor: Pay Matrix 14A (Rs.1,68,900-2,20,400). Associate Professor: Pay Matrix 13A1 (Rs.1,38,300-2,09,200). Assistant Professor: Pay Matrix 12 (Rs.1,01,500-1,67,400). All as per 7th CPC plus usual allowances; NPA additionally payable for candidates holding a medical qualification.
A scrutiny of applications by the Institute's scrutiny committee, followed by a personal interview before the Standing Selection Committee, including a 5-minute presentation on the candidate's work/achievements prepared in MS PowerPoint.
