UKSSSC has released Advt. No. 79/UKSSSC/2026 for 379 Group C posts of Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Assistant Accountant/Junior Auditor, Office Assistant-III (Accounts), and Cashier cum Assistant Accountant across various Uttarakhand government departments. Online applications open 26 July to 15 August 2026.
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has invited online applications for 379 vacancies under the Accounts cadre, spread across 18 post/department combinations including UPCL, PTCUL, UJVN Ltd, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, BRIDCUL, the Directorate of Departmental Accounts, several district treasuries, the Prosecution Department, and UERC. Posts include Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Assistant Accountant/Junior Auditor, Office Assistant-III (Accounts), and Cashier cum Assistant Accountant. Eligible candidates are commerce graduates (B.Com/BBA) or those holding a relevant postgraduate accountancy qualification, with computer typing proficiency required for most posts. Online applications can be submitted from 26 July 2026 to 15 August 2026, with a correction window from 18-20 August 2026. Selection is through a written examination followed by a qualifying typing test and document verification.
Note: UKSSSC issued a corrigendum dated 24 July 2026 clarifying the age-calculation wording for eligibility; the age limits themselves (18-42 years for the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan Assistant Accountant/Junior Auditor post, 21-42 years for all other posts) are unchanged.
Candidates must hold a B.Com/BBA degree or equivalent in Commerce; the Accountant (BRIDCUL) post additionally requires an MBA (Finance), PGDBA (Finance), or M.Com with relevant experience. Most posts require computer typing proficiency of 4000 Key Depressions per hour along with a computer certificate where applicable. The Office Assistant-III (Accounts) post at PTCUL requires a 1-year computer course diploma plus Hindi/English typing speed. Age limit is 18-42 years as on 1 July 2026 (21-42 years for most posts; 18-42 years specifically for the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan Assistant Accountant/Junior Auditor post).
18 – 42 years
As per the official notification: Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC candidates get 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit (Shasanadesh No. 1399 dated 21 May 2005). Uttarakhand Divyang (PwD) candidates get 10 years relaxation for Group C posts (Shasanadesh No. 1244 dated 21 May 2005). Dependents of Uttarakhand freedom fighters get 5 years relaxation. Ex-servicemen may deduct their armed forces service duration from their actual age, provided the resulting age does not exceed the upper age limit by more than 3 years.

Accountant (BRIDCUL): ₹35,400–₹1,12,400 (Level-6). Assistant Accountant posts (UPCL/PTCUL/UJVNL/BRIDCUL): ₹29,800–₹94,300 (Level-5). Assistant Accountant posts (UKTDB/Jal Sansthan/Directorate of Departmental Accounts/district treasuries/Directorate Treasury Pension & Entitlement/Prosecution Dept): ₹29,200–₹92,300 (Level-5). Office Assistant-III (Accounts, PTCUL): ₹27,200–₹86,100 (Level-4). Cashier cum Assistant Accountant (UERC): ₹25,500–₹81,100 (Level-4).

Only the Accountant (BRIDCUL) post requires relevant accounting experience, B.Com with MBA(Finance)/PGDBA(Finance) requires a minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Sector/reputed company, plus at least 3 years served in the post/grade immediately below the applied post. No experience is required for the other posts.
