Job Details
Selection is via a Preliminary Examination (1 hour, 100 marks, objective) followed by a Main Examination (2 hr 40 min, 200 marks) and, where applicable, a Local Language Proficiency Test. Only Main Exam marks count toward the final merit list, which is drawn state-wise and category-wise.

As on 01.04.2026 (upper age limit relaxation): OBC — 3 years. SC/ST — 5 years. PwBD (OBC) — 13 years. PwBD (SC/ST) — 15 years. Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen — actual period of defence service + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST), subject to a maximum age of 50 years. Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated who have not remarried — 7 years (subject to a maximum age of 38 for OBC and 40 for SC/ST). Trained Apprentices of SBI — OBC 4 years, SC/ST 6 years, PwBD (OBC) 14 years, PwBD (SC/ST) 16 years. Cumulative age relaxation under multiple categories is not permitted.

Salary
₹24,050 – ₹64,480 per month
Pay scale: ₹24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. Starting basic pay ₹26,730 (basic + 2 advance increments for graduates). Total starting emoluments approx. ₹46,000/month at a metro location, inclusive of DA and other allowances. Probation: minimum 6 months.

Can I apply for more than one State/UT in this recruitment?
No. Candidates can apply for vacancies in only one State/UT and can appear for the test only once under this recruitment drive. There is no provision for inter-circle or inter-state transfer, except intra-state transfers between Delhi Circle & Lucknow Circle (Uttar Pradesh) and Mumbai Metro Circle & Maharashtra Circle.
